TWENTY FIVE LIVE release today!

TWENTY FIVE LIVE is now available for order through the Colin James store. The album is Colin’s first-ever live album, and marks his 25th year in the music industry. It features originals as well as songs by artists like Van Morrison, Allan Toussaint, Toots and the Maytals, Peter Green, and Robert Johnson.

The album was recorded at the historic Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver in November, 2012. Check back soon for a featured video from this performance!

On Wednesday, March 20, Colin will perform at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, and on Thursday night he will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Colin James to release ‘TWENTY FIVE LIVE’ on March 19

TColin James - Twenty Five Liveo commemorate twenty-five years in the music business, Colin James is releasing his first-ever live album titled TWENTY FIVE LIVE on March 19 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

TWENTY FIVE LIVE was recorded on 10 November 2012 at Colin’s last night of three sold-out shows at The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. The venue has a special place in Colin’s musical history, as he is one of only a few artists who holds the record for the most consecutive sold-out shows at the legendary Commodore. TWENTY FIVE LIVE was co-produced and mixed by James’ long-time associate, Joe Hardy (ZZ Top, Steve Earle).

For the past twenty-five years, Colin has been a key contributor to the Canadian music landscape, encompassing rock, blues and swing genres. To celebrate his unique accomplishments, The Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry have selected Colin to be a 2013 Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame inductee. Colin will accept this honour on 21 March 2013 at the Canadian Music Week awards gala in Toronto.

Colin joins Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame

The Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame welcomes Colin James as the latest 2013 inductee. The six-time Juno Award winner and multi-platinum musician will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2013 during the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards gala dinner at the Kool Haus in Toronto, as part of Canadian Music Week activities. Prior to the induction, Colin will be making a special concert appearance on Wednesday, March 20th at Lee’s Palace in Toronto. Colin plays the 8th Annual Andy Kim Xmas Show this Thursday, Dec 13th

The 8th Annual ANDY KIM CHRISTMAS SHOW will be held at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on December 13th. The Phoenix is at 410 Sherbourne Street. Doors 7pm – 19+. Last year’s “Andy Kim Christmas Show” was the most successful event of the Holiday season and this year’s promises to be even more spectacular. The concert event is the brainchild of music legend, and the evenings’ Host and performer, Andy Kim.

During this one-of a kind charity event, patrons will be treated to a classic variety entertainment show that includes holiday performances by some of the country’s most sought-after singer/songwriters and performers. Past guests including Sam Roberts, Lights, Ron Sexsmith, Alex Lifeson from Rush, Broken Social Scene, James Black & Rick Jackett from Finger Eleven, Sarah Harmer, Jacksoul, BUCK65, Honeymoon Suite, Arkells, Barenaked Ladies,  and more. 100% of the profits from this year’s show will go to the Jeff Healey Park musical project. Andy wants to incorporate a unique musical theme into the playground at the park, by adding musical instruments that all children can play and enjoy.
