Hello from Moncton!

Hello from Moncton! We arrived here last night for the last shows of the eastern swing.

We had a great time in Montreal where we did two shows in one night!

Yikes.

Ottawa folks were fantastic and although I was worried I was going to lose my voice, it seemed to come back about 5 minutes before the show.

Gave me quite a scare.

Four of us the band are now completely hooked to Playstation NHL 10 and have to have surgery on our hands now from over use. Ok that’s not true………….(little bit true though) I have survived the playoffs so far and am holdiing down last place coming into my next rounds. Go Canucks!

Looks like I might be going to New Zealand at the beginning of next month for 5 days. Should be interesting.

All for now,

Colin

    Hi Colin

I just met you a few hours ago in the hotel elevator in Moncton. I was the one in the pink sweater who said a cheery “Hi” and that’s was it. I guess I was starstruck. Just wanted to say you’re an amazing musician and I love your music!!

Hello from Alberta, really loved the show in Edmonton and have to admit I was the yeller side-stage when you said “Fuse” my favorite.. I love driving fast, windows down in the summer to HIDE good and loud. Please keep playing some old stuff, some of us discover really good things late, only to wish they were still here. I really like the new album it’s great!!Listening to it often. But “Something good” was just so nice!! Anyhow we love coming out to see and hear you and hope to continue when you come around! Enjoyed last-unplugged show too, WOW..You mentioned SRV when I spoke with you at Winspear, ever thought of doing something with John Mayer? I mean besides slapping him upside the head?? Just that he is a huge SRV guy too, and seems to be catching on to the guitar, hahaha!!! Hope you get to enjoy your new place sometime soon…I just moved too and new park view, UNREAL! Good to be home!!But moving does SUCK!! Take care!

Just got back from your show at the Capitol in Moncton…and still in awe! Amazing performance I must say. Was hard to sit still! First time, and hopefully not the last. Almost skipped it tonight, since I have a big exam tomorrow, but it was worth every extra hour I’ll have to stay awake! Might even have given me motivation! I don’t regret any minute of it.
    Thanks for the fabulous time!

WOW! Thanks for a fantastic show in Moncton and thank you for your great music. The evening was spectacular and easily the best show I’ve seen at the Capitol. Please come back to Moncton soon and have a blast on the east coast.

    Cheers!

    Mike

    Hi Colin,
My daughter and I were at your Ottawa concert and it was incredible!! I never would have guessed you had lost your voice, it didn’t affect your fantastic performance at all. I have downloaded your several songs off your new CD Rooftops and Sattelites from itunes. One question, one song you performed had the lyrics (I believe)diamond shines, but I don’t know the name of the song and would like to buy it from itunes if possible. Could you tell the song name?
    Thanks for the great concert.

  10. Hi Colin !

Winnipeg show was absolutely awesome. I have seen you perform in Winnipeg at least 8 times. Each time the show seems to get better and better.

  12. Mary Sullivan says:

    Hi Colin

Loved the show last night in Moncton. I have lost count on how many of your shows I have been too but it must be getting up past 25. I saw you the first time at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver but I must say last night was my favourite because I brought my 15 year old son with me and the look on his face as he watch you play guitar was priceless! He has been playing for about two years now and he was so impressed with you, as I knew he would be. I felt like I had come full circle because I was pregnant with my son at one of your shows and then last night I was sitting there with him 15 years later watching the joy on his face as he watched you play. Thanks for a great night and giving a Mom a chance to do some bonding with her 15 year old son…who normally wouldn’t be caught dead out with his Mom :) You rock Colin…I can’t wait until next year !

  13. Patricia says:

Hey Colin, you were SMOKING HOT last night in Fredericton. Thanks so much for playing songs from your Bad Habits CD. Every second of the show was simply delicious. Your music makes my feet dance, my head think and my heart feel. :-)

  14. Moncton Fan! says:

    AMAZING SHOW IN MONCTON!!!!

I am so glad I got to see your show, you and all the band are incredible!

Thank you for coming to Moncton, you have devoted fans here!

  15. I can’t wait to see Colin perform at the Confed Centre tonight in Ch’town. I have seen him several times before and he never disappoints!

To Krista D. above, I think the song you are looking for is called More Than You Needed. It is off the new album, Rooftops and Satellites.

    Keep rockin’ Colin!

  16. Ginette says:

I saw your show in Montreal, you were absolutely on fire! I have to say I’ve been a fan of yours for the past 20 years (ouch!), and I like all the styles of music you’ve played since then. Also, you look as cute and sexy as you ever did!! I had to get a hold of myself not to jump on the stage… almost did actually :-) Those crazy Montreal girls, huh?! It was certainly great to see you in a swinging place like the Metropolis, much better than Place des Arts! Keep it up, you have such a great voice, and how about that blue guitar (love it)!

  17. Hi there, buddy.

Still getting over how pissed I am that I didn’t know you were in Kitchener recently. (My home town……I would have quickly, gladly, enthusiastically driven there from St. Catharines to see you!)
Haven’t had a fix of Colin James LIVE since you played here at the Grape and Wine Festival….seems like 150 years ago.
Good health to you always, friend, and look after those golden vocal chords. (not to mention the guitar ones!)

  18. John R says:

Hey Colin, Any chance of a unplugged or live record anytime soon?

  19. Susan says:

Third time to see you in Moncton, and oh wow what a show! You keep getting better and better. I love the Capitol Theater,,,there’s not a bad seat in the house…unless you’re a real tall guy, like my husband,,,,and he never complains,,,,,he loves your music,,,,and he’s the one that introduced your music to me. So, we buy tickets whenever you’re in town. We are trying to guess where you will play when you return to Moncton…maybe the new Casino?

Thank you for a great show, travel safe, and stay happy and healthy.

    Hi Colin,

    BRILLIANT CD! AWESOME SHOWS!

As always, it was fun chatting with you, both after the show at Massey Hall and at the meet and greet before the show at Hamilton Place. Thank you again for signing my, Bad Habits, poster flat. More importantly, thank you so much for adding my request, Speechless, to the show that night in Hamilton. It remains my favourite song. It was really sweet of you and greatly enjoyed. I wanted to thank you after the show; however, my husband was not feeling well that night, so we couldn’t stay after the show.

You always speak so highly of Bonnie Raitt . . . first class. I hope you know that you are in the same class.

  25. Karen H says:

    Hi Colin,

I saw you last Sunday in Ottawa and I am one very happy fan that your voice came back. You would have never known. It reminds me how much I enjoy seeing you live as you never disappoint. Your new CD has fast become one of my favourites but was thrilled when you played Speechless. I have always loved it.

I look forward to your next show in Ottawa….Bluesfest would be great!!

Thank you for a great show.

    Cheers!!!
    Karen

  26. Gloria says:

Hi Colin, My husband Ray and I saw you in Moncton for the fourth time last Tuesday night. You continue to amaze us and never disappoint. This was by far my favorite performance. I just love your new CD and have been listening to it over and over since then. I’m not sick of it yet.LOl! Also my 15 year old son is a big fan. When I can’t find your CD it’s usually in his bedroom. Should have got two. Please please keep coming back to Moncton. Oh and love your version of “Into the Mystic”. It’s my favorite. Thanks and keep ‘em coming!

  27. Gary says:

    Hi Colin!

I’ve been a fan since album 1. I’ve been to most of your Halifax shows, enjoying every one.

I play some guitar myself and enjoy trying to play along to some of your tunes, and would love to be able to play more of them. Unfortunately, I’m not good enough to figure out the progressions.

Have you ever considered posting your lyrics, with chords, in a section of your website.

I’d imagine there’s a lot more folks like me out there.

    Thanks
