5 Shows in!

Hello one and all. I’ve been so busy preparing for this tour, I’ve forgotten to write something. We are 5 shows in now and played in Vancouver last night. What a crowd!! Thank you so much to everyone that has come out so far. We’ve got a great bus driver (and bus) with us and the crew are doing a great job getting everything ticking.

Felt like we gelled as a band tonight and that from now on we can start honing in on having fun and playing the music. Suzy McNeil sounds great so make sure you catch her show. She has a beautiful voice.

Can’t wait to see you there!!!!!

Colin

Please come to Prince George again soon. Always love your live shows. First one was the Commodore watching you do Voodoo Thing in the late 80’s- yikes aren’t we all getting old.
    Cheers!

  2. Andra says:

Wow – just saw the show in Regina. Thanks for the energy and for sharing your incredible talent.

I was hooked with “Voodoo Thing” years ago and have admired, appreciated and loved your music since then. We have all the CDs and my two little boys (4 and 2) can recognize your songs.

Thanks for everything. My soul and spirit are renewed!

    Hi Colin!

Saw your show last night in Regina. INCREDIBLE! I’m still pumped! It’s 5:00 am and I can’t sleep! Your songs keep playing in me head!

The years haven’t hurt you one bit. I felt very emotional listening to your amazing voice and guitar playing. OUTSTANDING!

I work with one of your former guitar teachers-Richard B and can tell you he’s extremely proud of you!

Thanks for a fantastic show, Colin! I can’t wait for your next show!

    Colin,
I have been a fan of yours since the first time I heard “Why’d you lie?”. I went to your show in Saskatoon and it was remarkable. First time seeing you and also my first concert ever. I enjoyed meeting you and can’t wait to see you perform again. Good luck to you on the rest of your tour. :)

I am going to see you tonight in Winnipeg. I’m so excited. I love how each of your CDs has a different flavour to it than the last one. R&S reminds me of your older music – but like great wine, it just gets better with age.

  7. Colin, what are the names of the guys who are playing with you on this tour. We saw the show in Regina, and it was excellent,as always. You do give it “everything you got”, and it rocks. What are the other guys’ names? I want to hear more of all of you!

    Hi Colin!

Thanks for a great show last night in the ‘Peg. Your choice for playlist was awesome to keep us all going on the journey with you and your band. Even with the audio issues, you maintained your professionalism and kept on going. I don’t think other musicians would have worked their way through that. Hearing some of the songs made me remember a time a few years ago when my brother was going thru something very, very difficult. Visiting him in the hospital hoping he will make it out of ICU to make it another day was tough. Driving home after the long visits with him and my sister-in-law trying to give her strenght was tough to get thru. But Your Music, Real Music helped to keep my sanity and keep level. Thankfully he is doing well. He still isn’t back to work but He is holding strong. Thank you for keeping it real and honest music. YOU ROCK!! Thanks and Cheers!!!!

Colin & co. – you were fantastic (as always) in Kitchener last night. This is the fifth time we’ve seen you and you’re not getting older, you’re getting better. Already looking forward to the next time!!! Loved the new songs. All the best for the rest of your tour. Try to get some rest.

  14. Jim & Lynda says:

Great show last night in Kitchener! We have all of your 13 CDs and have seen you in concert twice – once with Little Big Band and again last night. Although I love to hear you wail on the guitar, I also love it when you pick up the acoustic and get mellow too. We all know what an awesome guitar player you are, but I think sometimes people forget what a wonderful voice you have. I don’t! Thanks again for the great evening of music.

  15. Michelle says:

    Hi Colin & co.,
Bryson and I had the best time at your Kitchener show last night. 7th concert for us…you never cease to amaze us. We had the privilege of meeting you before the show with our Meet and Greet tickets, which really made our night. We’re telling everyone what a great time we had. Nothing like it!! Bryson thanks you for asking if he had any requests and for playing them. It’s nice to see you’re there for your fans and your performance shows you genuinely enjoy what you do.

Look forward to your return and hope we’ll meet you again.

Have a safe and enjoyable tour.

I saw your show in in Vancouver and had such a good time listening to your music. I was wondering if you had a music DVD out? would love to watch your concert at home.

  17. Bill says:

Hi Colin. My wife and I saw you in Toronto last night. Third time seeing you. Your enthusiasm and mastery is so fantastic to see and hear. Thank you also for signing autographs. What a generous spirit. We talked about the concert all the way home.

  18. Barb says:

    Hi Colin
Saw you in Wpg. Great show other than the audio issues, at times made it hard to hear your great singing, but we still loved it. It made the 40 mile drive into the city & back home worth while. We also saw you when you came through on the Olympic train, awsome….. Keep on doing what you do best……

  19. Melodie says:

    Hi Colin,

My son caught the both of you at Gallagher’s a couple of months ago wish I had been there…enjoy the rest of your tour!

  21. Anne-Marie says:

    Hey Colin and band,

Great show in Ottawa on the 31st! The last time my husband and I saw you at the NAC was with the Little Big Band and tonight’s show was even better! You all sounded great, played super tight, and we had a blast.

Take care of the voice and have a great time!
    Cheers

  22. Karen says:

Just got home from your sat. nite show at the Royal…brought my 10 yr.old son for his first concert. We both loved it, though I have seen you more times than I can count over the last 22 yrs! Thanks for always giving a great show! You are always a favorite of mine!

  23. Hi There Colin; How are you today?Good we are hoping. we went to your show in Ottawa @ the Nac we had fun but right after your Nac show we had to drive to Nfld i’m so sorry to be telling you this but our niece was killed in a terriable snowmobile accident; http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2010/02/01/nl-tuck-snowmobile-010210.html
we tried so hard to make it to the funeral but we got stuck on the Vision boat for 31 hours because of stormy winds & the big new ship therfore couldnt dock because of that reason, then after we did get off the boat; we got stuck again on the TCH because of a transport truck was on fire; it delayed us for another hour & 45 minutes.
so we want you to know on the way down they were playing a lot of old & new your songs (more new then old mind you!) on the radio so it seems to ease some of our pain that we were expierencing;when we heard you on the radio in Quebec; Nova Scotia;New Brunswick;& Nfld’s radio stations; we feel like we were traveling down east with you; so thanks for your music it really do ease your mind & soul! what would we do without it ! also i did you a favour when i went to Walmart way before the show during Christmas ;i moved all of your cd’s up front of the “J” section they had you in the back in 2 stores now; so when i went back to Walmart only 1 was left so i bought it. Just Love Your New Album! you did an excellent job with it as well as everyone involved. also before i go Thank You for letting me meet Suzy McNeil shes a Sweetie & a Excellent Singer as well.Dont know if she remembers me or not but i was the last one in line to meet her, she said i was waiting so patiently in line! so we are asking you for a favour to play a song for our sweet niece Sarah Tuck “Better Way to Heaven”. GOD Bless YOU Colin James “Your My Guitar Hero!” & Please tell Suzy McNeil that i said Hi!
PS:also we hope you got your stuff that we left for you & your band @ the Nac; you can let the Nac know if you want too & get the time that is; if you did indeed get your stuff !we know you are very busy & hope you all had a safe & fun trip home to Vancouver! Take Care Eh! & Rock On! From Your Forever Fans Marina & Gerald In Ontario. Hope to see you again sometime in the future! & Remember to Think Happy Thoughts! we didnt have time but we were gonna make you a Nfld music CD! oh well;maybe next time we can!
