MapleMusic Recordings welcomes a legend to the label with the signing of Colin James and the release of his ninth album Limelight, scheduled for a September 13th, 2005 street date.

Colin's self-titled debut album for Virgin America made an immediate global impact and went multi-platinum in Canada, setting him on a two decade course of accomplishment that continues to this day.

With a recorded history that travels through blues, rock, big band and r 'n' b, Colin's career has long been marked by a commitment to authenticity and the highest level of musicianship. Produced by Colin Linden Limelight features players like Jim Keltner (drums) and Van Morrison alumnus Reggie McBride and Bonnie Raitt sideman Hutch Hutchinson sharing the bass.

The album's 14 tracks, a mix of co-written originals and carefully chosen covers, resonate with tasteful playing, soul and groove. Tracks such as Van Morrison's 'Into The Mystic' and Bob Dylan's 'Watchin' The River Flow' play alongside first single 'Far Away Like a Radio', a Colin, Craig Northey, Tom Wilson co-write, which has just dropped at rock radio.

A highlight of Colin's touring in support of Limelight will be his first headline show at Toronto's venerable Massey Hall, scheduled for February 4, 2006. A full Canadian tour will follow. Tickets for the Massey Hall show go on sale August 22, 2005 through the Massey Hall box office.
